How It Started
The idea for Vayo began during a trip shopping for pearls—first in Australia, then in Dubai. Beautiful pearls everywhere, but the prices didn't make sense. The markups were enormous.
The real turning point came in a small café in the Philippines. Sitting with pearl suppliers, learning how the trade actually works, seeing the gap between what pearls cost and what customers pay—that's when the idea became a plan.
In 2018, Vayo Pearls launched in Australia. The mission was simple: bring genuine, quality pearls to people at prices that aren't inflated by unnecessary middlemen.
That café conversation turned into a Sydney-based business that now ships pearl jewellery to customers across the globe.

We're members of the Cultured Pearl Association of America (CPAA). Our pearls are authenticated, genuine cultured pearls—not imitations, not shell-coated plastic, not glass.
